MASSAGE ME
Got tissue issues?
Chances are, most of us could use a kick-ass massage right about now!
I have always been a proponent of massage therapy. I would literally be an unhappy, big, bad ball of tension and pain if I didn’t get a massage every single month. When I was younger I would get them sporadically … they were like a special treat to myself. Now, I get them every month to help maintain my health and sanity. A couple years ago I committed to a massage membership that holds me accountable to getting my monthly massages. If I didn’t do this, I would get too busy or side-tracked with life and would go 3-4 months without a massage. When I wasn’t getting monthly massages, I would end up in the ER needing a trigger point in my neck because I couldn’t move my head. I hold most of my tension in my neck and shoulders (and apparently in my glutes as well, who knew). LOL! With age comes a shit ton of responsibility and wear and tear on our bodies which results in increased stress and inflammation. As we all know, stress and inflammation = BAD NEWS! Besides the fact that a good massage just feels good, it’s very good for our overall health and here are some of the many reasons why.
